Physical illnesses often manifest themselves with psychiatric symptoms. In the course of diagnostics, organic clarification and the exclusion ofsomatic causesare also carried out. Psychotropic medicationsare medications that can alleviate and eliminate psychological symptoms by influencing certain metabolic processes in the brain. The use of psychotropic medications should always be under medical supervision, because they have – like all medications – side effects as well as interactions with other medications.
Therefore, an individual risk-benefit assessmentmust always be made for each prescription. Medication therapy should only be part of a larger treatment plan and should always be accompanied by therapeutic and supportive discussions.
The sessions can be held in German but also in English and Greek.
