The main therapy method I use is cognitive behavioral therapy as individual therapy.
I also offer the following psychotherapeutic treatments in my private practice for psychiatry and psychotherapy:
The duration of treatment varies:
Short-term therapy with up to 25 treatment hours or long-term therapy with 45 to a maximum of 80 treatment hours. As a rule, there is one therapy session per week.
One therapy session lasts 50 minutes.
Which therapy method and which form of therapy should be applied to you and what the therapy goals are, we clarify together in the preliminary discussions.
The sessions can be held in German but also in English and Greek.
Behavioral therapy is nowadays one of the most widely used and scientifically best studied psychotherapeutic methods. Based on behavioral therapy, various psychotherapeutic methods have been developed in recent years.
The treatment methods used depend on what the problem, disease or disorder is. The basic idea of the therapy: What we think, how we behave, and what feelings others trigger in us are closely interrelated – and are crucial for our well-being and health.
It’s about being clear about your thoughts, attitudes and expectations. The goal is to identify false and stressful beliefs and then change them. Because it is often not only the things and situations themselves that cause problems, but also the perhaps far too great importance we give them.
Cognitive behavioral therapy is used to treat depression, anxietyand obsessive-compulsive disorders, and addictive disorders, among others.
However, it can also be used for physical illnesses such as chronic pain, tinnitusand rheumatism: it can help to cope better with the complaints.
Behavioral therapy is problem-focused. At the beginning of the treatment we try together to analyze the actual problem and to understand the behavioral pattern hidden behind it. The aim is to find out which conditions cause or maintain certain reactions in the patient Subsequently, the therapy goals are defined in detail, the treatment principles are explained and a precise therapy plan is determined
